About Me

Grew up in NJ, lived here my whole life. Spent the first 2 centuries in Essex County, then moved 7 years after I got married to Somerset County, lived here since and loving it, despite the high taxes and the huge cost of living!

I have a bachelors degree in Fine Art and Psychology (had no idea what I wanted to do when I grew up) until I was offered a job through a friend at college working in the graphic department on campus making publications and posters for on campus activities and such. I LOVED what I did.

My first ever poster was of GODSPELL, the production was being put on by our campus community. A week or so after my poster was released and all over campus, it took all of 1 and a half half days til they all disappeared and were now living the dorm rooms of a variety of people. This is what turned me onto graphic design.

Got a job working for a non-profit as their art director, I thought how cool an art director right out of college. Of course I ignored the salary of all of $18,000 per year, it was the title I loved who cared how poor I was. Then upon working there and befriending a bunch of very patient printers who taught me a ton about graphic design, I broke out into my own design business. I had hired a saleman, I think his name was Mark Fiducia and I hired a bunch of other designers when the work load got big. I found myself incredibly busy, having ittle or no time to have a life.

Miraculously I met my husband, through a personal ad in a local newspaper. Truth be told, the only reason I called him was because his telephne exchange was one from my hometown, so I thought it would be interesting to find out if I knew him. I did not, so we went out, I went out with some other guys too, went out with my husband again, then the other guys. All this within about a month or so. My husband was quite persistent about having additonal dates with me, he seemed like a nice guy, although not entirely my type at the time. We went out a few more times and I was smitten (don’t tell him I said that) :) . I played hard to get just to make sure he was the one.

Now, 17 years, 3 kids, 4 dogs, 1 bird and a slew of fish later, we are very happy and I must admit, this is the best time of my life and I am truly blessed!
